Award-winning canalside bar and eatery, Roby 1844, will officially reopen this month, with a brand-new menu and pizza bar located on its outdoor terrace.

Reopening this Easter on April 15th, Roby 1844 is situated next to The Holiday Inn on Aytoun Street, and features waterside seating, live music, and an outdoor bar. Due to its popularity in 2021, it has extended its waterside seating across two floors, with comfortable new furniture for diners to enjoy alongside the waterfront.

Open Thursday to Sunday, Roby 1844 will be serving up a delicious new menu throughout the summer months, including a selection of burgers, sandwiches, salads, pizzas and sharers, and a vegan menu, with dishes such as Linguini Arrabiata, Vegan Tenders and Roby’s Hot Chckn Burger.

An exciting new Pizza Pop-Up will also be opening on the terrace this month in collaboration with artisan pizza makers, PizzaSi, which will be serving up a range of Italian pizzas, meats, and antipasti boards, whilst the drinks menu includes a range of beers, spirits, wine, and cocktails, plus a new collaboration with popular local brewers, Cloudwater Brewery.

Visitors can also look forward to a host of new events in the upcoming months, including beer pop-ups, gin and tonic pop-ups and live music in June and July. There will also be live performances from acoustic artists, Jordon Drinkwater and Ellis Johnson on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th April 2022 from 4pm – 6pm.

Steve Julian, General Manager at The Holiday Inn, said; “This summer we’re going to be providing an exciting new dining experience for our customers and we can’t wait to reopen to the people of Manchester. With delicious pizzas on our outdoor terrace with PizzaSi, a menu packed with new dishes, and a calendar filled with fun events for the summer, there’s so much to look forward to at Roby 1844.”

Roby 1844 recently won the Bright Idea Award at the Manchester Hoteliers Association Ball 2022, which is a non-profit organisation of the key hotels within the city, dedicated to championing and developing the hospitality and tourism sectors in Manchester.
