Although Manchester city centre is blessed with a number of great ramen noodle venues, and food halls it’s often nice to take a train ride out of the city centre – especially when great food is part of the destination.

Macclesfield’s Picturedrome is sibling to Altrincham Market and Mackie Mayor and is packed with great independent food and drink traders. One of the latest, which launched in February 2023 on the back of a cheeky Only Fans campaign, is craft ramen shop Send Noods.

With temperatures set to rise over the coming weeks, Send Noods fans can enjoy a new summer menu as well as steaming hot bowls of ramen.

Throughout the summer months, diners who visit what is becoming one of the north west’s most exciting food ventures, can enjoy a host of exclusive new dishes. These include a choice of three noodle salad ‘bases’ – a fragrant peanut Satay, delicious Sweet chilli or the classic Shoyu. Diners can then add their choice of topping which include crispy ebi prawns, Send Noods famous karaage chicken, vegetable gyoza and shredded duck. Salads are priced between £11.50 and £14.50.

Send Noods is built around a small menu of delicious and authentic flavours, with each dish delivered to perfection. Fresh and seasonal ingredients are at the centre of Send Noods’ ethos with a menu that changes according to the availability of the very best produce.

Send Noods is spearheaded by Asian food expert and restaurateur Vinny Yu and Manchester hospitality legend Ross Mackenzie. It opened its first kitchen in the Macclesfield foodie haven in February 2023 and will be opening many more ramen shops across Manchester over the next couple of years.

Vinny said: “The warmer summer months calls for a shake-up of our food offering and the team have taken great care to craft an amazing menu with some lighter options. While I personally would eat ramen in all weathers I know the salads will go down a treat, the flavours are truly amazing.”

The cheekily named noodle bar launches its new summer menu on Thursday June 1st and in addition to the new salads they will still be serving their hero ramen dishes alongside some small plates including summer rolls with a choice of prawn or tofu, classic Japanese flavours such as edamame beans with a sweet chilli glaze, karaage chicken with a sweet chilli garlic mayo and pumpkin korokke.

Ross Mackenzie, said; “Send Noods has been open for three months now and so it was time for us to add some new dishes to our menus. We have stayed true to our ethos – crafting a small menu of the most delicious flavours and doing it to perfection. It’s food you want to eat.

“We have had such a warm welcome to Macclesfield and have had plenty of fun along the way.”

Send Noods classic Ramen Menu includes Char Siu Pork Belly Ramen, Shredded Hoisin Duck Ramen, Karaage Crispy Chicken Ramen and the vegan Vegetable Gyoza Ramen.

Send Noods is open Tuesday – Saturday 12PM – 10PM and Sunday 12PM – 6PM.
