Manchester’s Purple Riot has won a major client to end 2022 in style. Northern Fashion Week has appointed the marketing and PR agency with a full marketing brief, including brand positioning and awareness, PR, social media, events, and influencer management.

The team will spearhead a six-month project which aims to drive ticket sales for the 2023 three-day event at Manchester Central in July.

The client win follows the agency’s recent scooping of a national award at the prestigious PRCA Dare Grand Prix Awards in London. Purple Riot won the overall national award for Best Low Budget Campaign for its work with fellow Manchester business, SevenYays, which creates week-long advent calendars for birthdays and other occasions.

MD Nikki Kitchen said: “Northern Fashion Week is a perfect win for us, which adds to our existing fashion credentials. Working with a client passionate about driving awareness of the north’s incredible culture and creativity and, in particular, Manchester’s heritage and independent fashion talent is fantastic. We’re excited to get started on the brief for this burgeoning event.”

Siobhan Clare, Founder, and CEO at Northern Fashion Week, commented: “We were impressed by Purple Riot’s knowledge of the fashion sector and the northern media and influencer landscape. They showed true insight and creativity, which we are sure will grow the Northern Fashion Week platform. We are excited to see what the partnership will bring in 2023!

Purple Riot has also appointed Erica Botchway as Marketing and PR Executive to bolster the growing team. Erica brings a wealth of big-brand fashion, lifestyle, tech, and start-up experience to the agency.
