The team behind IMPOSSIBLE have announced the opening of a new high-end theatre-style cabaret venue on Lloyd Street on Saturday July 6th 2019. Bringing a Parisian-style adult decadence and sophistication to Manchester.

The self-titled “super luxe playground” is split across two floors, with the first floor housing an adult cabaret stage and opulent leather booths, dark woods, floor to ceiling bookcases and a world class selection of whiskey and gins. A naughtier basement floor is fitted with themed rooms for party bookings and private dances.

Taking influence from venues such as The Box in London and New York, Crazy Horse and Moulin Rouge in Paris, the space is aimed at both men and women seeking a night of intrigue, secrecy and sexuality as an art form.

Aaron Mellor, owner of Whiskey Down said: “When we first opened IMPOSSIBLE, we were told off a little – our shows went a little too far and we needed a special SEV license, these licenses are capped in Manchester to existing lap dance clubs – so it’s not possible to get a new one. To us the existing lap dance clubs in Manchester and the UK seemed outdated and a little too 90’s – they have not moved with the times and where things are in 2019. We wanted to create something more female inclusive, more act based, with an artistic hint of ‘eyes wide shut’ and ’50 shades’. A naughtier version of IMPOSSIBLE for an older, more exclusive audience and very female friendly”

“Whiskey Down is all about intrigue, combining high-end bar tendering and table service, incredible drinks, luxury interiors and world class performers.”

The basement rooms are available for party hire, as well as private dances, with interiors inspired by Bruce Wayne’s Gotham Manor House and the 70’s grotto at Hugh Hefner’s LA playboy mansion. Guests can enjoy a selection of performers serving Champagne, prosecco and whiskey. Secret rooms run along dark wood lined passageways in a hidden labyrinth beneath Whiskey Downs cabaret lounge, where no touching is allowed but imagination runs wild.

Whiskey Down is opening to a small guest list of Manchester power women on Wednesday 3rd July 2019. The female only event will be the only evening pictures can be taken, after that the venue will operates a social media ban.

Whiskey Down will open Thursday 9pm – 4:30am, Friday and Saturday 5pm – 6:30am and Sunday 9pm – 4:30am
