Following the successful grant of planning permission in January 2020, Far East Consortium (FEC) is pushing ahead with the development of its site at Addington Street, New Cross with a sales launch in March.

The Hawkins\Brown designed scheme, re-branded as ‘New Cross Central’, will see the development of 80 high quality new homes within a distinct red brick, stepped building.

Named after its location at the heart of the evolving New Cross neighbourhood, the scheme is focused on community, brought together by a lush central landscaped courtyard designed by Exterior Architecture.

New Cross Central will feature three-bed townhouses and one and two-bed apartments, including a collection of penthouse apartments with generous and attractive south facing roof top terraces.

New Cross Central pays homage to the history and character of Manchester with a robust brick exterior and exposed concrete walls on the interior.

Targeted at owner-occupiers and with prices starting from £199,950, sales of the properties will be officially launched at an event:

Thursday 19th March

2:00pm – 8:00pm.

FEC Project Director Hilary Brett said: “We are really excited to be progressing with the development and can’t wait to officially launch in March. With Hawkins\Brown we have designed a great scheme which we know will appeal to owner occupiers.

“New Cross Central is our second scheme in the city and will positively contribute to the ongoing regeneration of New Cross and, hopefully, act as a further catalyst.”

Marvin Chik, Associate Director at Hawkins\Brown, said: “The challenge was to deliver eighty homes on a dense city centre site and create a unique and high quality offer for future residents: dual aspect accommodation, street accessed family homes, generous private amenity, an environment to foster community and the opportunity to feel at home in the city.”
