Canadian coffee shop Tim Hortons has announced it will open more stores across the North West after the opening of their first UK drive thru in Manchester. It will see the brand open on three different sites over the region.
The new shops are located in Bury, Sale and Altrincham. It continues the companies nationwide rollout plan, with more locations across the country being revealed over the next couple of months.
The Bury shop will open on the 23/12/2017 and will be located at the Mill Gate shopping centre, 1 Union Street.
After Christmas the Sale and Altrincham sites will open on 27/12/2017 and 29/12/2017 respectively. The Sale site is at 70 School Road and the Altrincham site is located at 7 Cross Street.
Speaking on the opening of the drive thru store Kevin Hydes, Chief Finance and Commercial Officer of the Tim Hortons franchise in the UK said: “Today, we opened our first UK Drive Thru and restaurant in England on Bury New Road, Manchester, and it has beaten all expectations,”
He continued, “With people queuing since 2am to be the first to try our freshly brewed coffee and great tasting food. The buzz we’ve seen since announcing our openings in the Manchester area has been incredible, and we can’t wait to welcome people to our latest restaurants in Sale, Altrincham, and Bury over the Christmas period.”
The first Tim Hortons restaurant in the UK opened on Argyle Street in Glasgow at the start of June. The long-awaited launch was met with similar excitement to the Manchester launch, with Guests travelling from across the country and queuing overnight to be the first to sample the brand’s popular coffee and baked goods.
The expansion is expected to bring more job opportunities to the Manchester area with the recently opened Manchester drive thru store being a training centre for the Candadian coffee company.
