Tim Hortons will be opening a new restaurant on Bury New Road and it will be the first location with a drive thru option in the UK. The Manchester site will also be the Canadian coffee companies first in England. With several more Tim Hortons restaurants schedule to open in Manchester expect to see them popping up around the city centre soon.

Manchester will not only get coffee and a wide variety of food options. The move to Manchester is set to open job opportunities for many. The Bury New Road restaurant will feature a regional training academy.

Kevin Hydes who is Chief Finance and Commercial Officer for Tim Hortons said, “The Tim Hortons Drive Thru is a major part of Canadian culture, and we think the UK is going to love our great tasting coffee and quality food, served quickly and with a smile.”

He continued, “The buzz around our recent Glasgow and Cardiff openings was phenomenal, and we couldn’t be more excited to open our first Drive Thru, and our first restaurant in England.”

The stores opening in Manchester will feature Tim Hortons’ most famous drinks and treats, which include Tim Hortons signature freshly brewed coffee, espresso-based beverages, hot chocolate, French Vanilla and classic frozen Iced Capp drink, as well as baked goods, breakfast and lunch items made from quality ingredients. Guests can also look forward to Tim Hortons signature Timbits, bite-sized doughnuts which come in a variety of flavours.

Tim Hortons was founded in Canada starting as a single location in 1964. Today it is popular in Canada and America with 4,600 restaurants worldwide.
