We all love Pancake day in the UK, but did you know that Poland has a ‘Donut Day’ or to be more precise ‘Fat Thursday’ or Tłusty Czwartek which gives Polish people the chance to overindulge on sweet food ahead of lent.
Luckily for us, Platzki are celebrating Fat Thursday today by serving up delicious, traditional Polish Faworki Angel Wings – an indulgent Polish take on the good old-fashioned donut. Warning: May be ever so slightly addictive.
These tasty treats are available for collection from Platzki’s home at the Great Northern Warehouse from 11:30am – 5pm today but get there quick! It’s first come, first served and judging by their moreishness, they’re likely to sell out fast!
