There’s a lot to look forward to this Christmas at The Midland Hotel. From a delicious seasonal menu at Mount Street Dining Room & Bar, to a delightful festive Afternoon Tea in the Tea Room and a Christmas stay package to keep everyone merry, it really is the season to be jolly.
A modern British dining room providing elevated home dining in luxe art deco surroundings, guests can get into the spirit of Christmas with Mount Street Dining Room & Bar’s tasty festive menu.
Using classic cooking techniques and wonderful seasonal produce, the menu includes starters such as Ragstone mousse with pumpkin seed granola, fresh cranberry & roasted butternut squash, decadent mains such as blackened sirloin of Yorkshire beef, with vanilla swede, braised feather blade, sticky braised red cabbage & wild mushrooms, and delectable desserts including Eggnog cheesecake with caramelized pecan nuts & caramel mousse.
Served from November 25th until December 30th (excluding Christmas Day), the lunch menu is £29 for two courses and £36 for three, with the evening menu £32 for two courses and £39 for three.
For those who want an unforgettable dining experience on Christmas Day, Mount Street will also be serving up a delectable feast, with a sumptuous four course menu designed to delight. Dishes include pressed chicken and black pudding, rolled breast of turkey wrapped in Parma ham, pumpkin and sage tortellini, Christmas pudding with brandy sauce.
The Christmas Day menu is £115 per person and includes a glass of mulled sparkling Champagne.
This Christmas season will also see the welcome return of the Tea Room’s Festive Afternoon Tea. Bursting with seasonal spices and flavours, the menu features wintery delights such as black forest gateaux, mascarpone cream, griottine cherries, and mulled spiced rum snowballs, not forgetting the Christmas mince pie with brandy.
As well as a selection of tantalising sweet treats, the festive feast comes complete with a selection of seasonal sandwiches and scones, as well as a range of loose-leaf tea, a glass of mulled wine and a glass of Champagne.
Available daily from November 25th, 12-30pm-5.30pm, until January 3rd (excluding 25th and 26th December), The Midland’s Festive Afternoon Tea is priced at £42 per person.
For those who like to really relax over the Christmas period, The Midland’s Christmas Stay Package does all the hard work and lets guests put their feet up and focus on the festivities. A two night stay from December 24th -26th includes a Festive Afternoon Tea, breakfast and Christmas Day lunch in Mount Street and is £449 per person.
