Lyceum Theatre Oldham opened its doors post-covid in November last year and audiences were keen to get back to ‘normal’, feeling safe in the knowledge that the small theatre had put plans in place to help keep covid at bay. They will continue with all these safety measures – new ventilation system, extra cleaning, introduction of credit cards in the theatre and more – into 2022.

The next play is TIME AND TIME AGAIN (14 – 19 February 2022), Alan Ayckbourn’s achingly funny story of crossed wires and lust with hilarious results.Football and cricket play a large part in this story set in the aker family’s suburban home. The family is full of flirts, tumblers and a garden gnome, who seems to take part in many conversations.

It turns out that the only thing that can dampen the lusty fellahs is sport. Things take a wholly unexpected turn then football and cricket take centre stage.

First time Lyceum Director Sue Stephenson will tackle this sporting play with a strong cast of local actors and, as usual, a fantastic set.

Tickets at £12 each, are on sale now and are available online at lyceumtheatre.org.uk

If you want to challenge your theatre knowledge and more, the Lyceum is also holding a PIE & QUIZ NIGHT on Saturday 28 January. For only £5 each (with teams of no more than five) and a first prize of £50, the bar will be open from 7pm. Tickets on sale online at lyceumtheatre.org.uk
