Lowry Outlet’s much-loved Waterside markets return over the May bank holiday weekend, 30th April – 2nd May, with a fresh new style for 2016 and for the first time will be inside the centre.

Exciting new local producers, in addition to many of the previous year’s favourites, will sell from traditional ‘barrow’ style pop-up stalls within the outlet, showcasing their quality artisan products including sweet treats, crafts and photography.

Kelly Hurst, Centre Manager at Lowry Outlet, said: “Our Waterside Markets have always been a big draw for shoppers and families, providing fantastic days out with plenty to see and do. The stalls offer such a unique product and food offering, with many award-winning and handmade items that cannot be found on the high street.

“We’re always looking of ways to improve our events and we have taken the decision to refresh the look and feel of the markets for 2016 and bring it indoors for visitors to enjoy more browsing time, whatever the weather.”

The bustling markets will host a variety of specialist stalls selling everything from small-batch breads to handmade chocolates, plus local cheeses and traditional French and Spanish wines. Unique crafts from a select group of award-winning makers will also be on offer, making Lowry Outlet’s Waterside Markets the perfect destination for those looking for something special.

Children and families can enjoy additional fun as Lowry Outlet is hosting an area of jungle themed craft activities running alongside the markets, plus some striking jungle-inspired entertainment, which will include two lifelike gorillas roaming the malls on Saturday and Sunday and a giant theatrical tiger puppet on the bank holiday Monday.
