I woke up to more talk of the “bubble of 10” and have decided who I’d like in mine. Whether they will want me in their’s is another matter. It’s like being back at school and being picked last for whatever games we were playing in PE.

Well, of course it’s lovely and sunny today as it is back to work day but I just need my mantra to be “it’s a 4 day week” and all will be well.

You know the pole vaulters I mentioned yesterday? There were 20k viewers and the BBC were making a big thing of it but I didn’t think it was that many to brag about around the world. I thought they were going to say it was watched by 20 million people and then I’d have been wowed!

My good deed of the day was calling our local optician to check if the man scaling the wall pretending to wash the windows was for real or a robber casing the joint. He was legitimately fixing the boiler but I still can’t figure out what he was doing looking through the top window. At least he was on a proper job and I’m glad I made the call as it’s always better to be safe than sorry.

When I opened the front door, I walked into today’s game of “Milkman Roulette” where the milk and provisions were left on the step along with all of the empty lemonade bottles that have been there for days. I officially gave up and put the empty bottles in the recycling bin. I tried!

Surprisingly, I had a relatively relaxing morning with just a few calls which was most remarkable. I do know this is the calm before the storm but hopefully this week will be a bit more chilled than the last 27!

Following the crowd is not usually my thing but I’ve relented and have now ordered some masks. They only cost £10 for 10 so I didn’t think this was too bad – or is it? – but if I want them delivered this week, I’d have to pay £11 postage so I decided to leave it until next week so the postage is free. Cheeky people! They will probably arrive tomorrow!

My List: A few more chapters of The Woman who stole my Life and that’s about it!

My Lowlight: I’ve been having a hungry day today – all day and it won’t go away!

My Highlight: A quiet day all round – they don’t happen very often!

My Anxiety Level: Still Low – Phew!
