GRUB have announced that they will be teaming up with some very special friends to take over the First Street tipi from Saturday 4th November onward as part of the ‘Winter At First’ festivities.

Manchester’s finest street food fair will be bringing some of their favourite promoters, artists and events alongside delicious beers from North Brew Co and a fully stocked winter bar to warm your cockles, plus beer broiled hot dogs from brand new street food maestros Oscars Dogs.

As well as fine food and tipples there are events galore courtesy of some of GRUB’s good friends.

There’s a plant hanger workshop from Manchester Macrame Co, Queer Life Drawing from Ben Saunders, Bricks and Lego Adult and Family sessions, fireside open mics, cocktail nights, Sip and Paint with Libby Ayres, a Japanese Painting Workshop from Floating Art, Dungeons and Flagons Boardgame brunches and IT Rock and Roll courtesy of Foxdog Studios and their Edinburgh smash-hit show “Robo Bingo”.

GRUB’s Events Manager and brains behind the takeover Emma Dixon-Phillip said “This has been a brilliant opportunity to bring all of our talented pals together in one smashing space. We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone having a lovely time around the fire over the winter months!”

Jamie Hills, Development Director at Ask Real Estate, landlord and lead developer of the Estate said “Here at First Street we are pleased to kick-off Winter at First by continuing our successful collaboration with Grub, creating a packed programme of events, performances, and workshops throughout the coming season. Sitting alongside our existing retail and leisure operators, Grub & Friends will enhance our social and cultural offering, attracting more visitors to our vibrant city-centre neighbourhood, as well as cater for our growing local residential and occupier communities.”

Something for everyone then! It all kicks off on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th November with a grand old opening weekend party with North Brew Co and will be spreading festive cheer throughout First Street in November and December.
