Festa Italiana, Manchester’s free-to-enter weekend-long festival celebrating Italian food, drink and culture has announced two very special banquets featuring top class Italian celebrity chefs, Gennaro Contaldo, Giancarlo Caldesi and Aldo Zilli, and hosted by, Salvi’s owner, Maurizio Cecco.

On Saturday 28th August, legendary Italian restaurateurs, authors and UK TV favourites Gennaro Contaldo (Saturday Kitchen, Two Greedy Italians, Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast), and Giancarlo Caldesi (Return to Tuscany, Saturday Kitchen, Sunday Brunch), will be joining Maurizio in the kitchen, talking guests through the menu and answering questions for the duration.

Joining Maurizio on Sunday 29th August will be the vastly experienced, Italian born celebrity chef and award-winning restaurateur, Aldo Zilli (The One Show, This Morning, Celebrity Masterchef), who will entertain guests with his insightful chat as they prepare and serve three incredible courses of authentic Italian cuisine.

Both events will be taking place in the Festa’s well ventilated and open dining space, and each party will be seated separately within their own groups to ensure Covid safety.

*A banquet ticket will include a drink on arrival and three exquisite courses of authentic Italian food all served up by some of the best chefs in the business.

The much-loved Festa Italiana will return to Festival Piazza, Cathedral Gardens in Manchester city centre on bank holiday weekend, 27th – 29thAugust 2021 for a three-day celebration dedicated to bringing people together to enjoy next level food and drink, mega movies, amazing art and a stellar selection of authentic live music.
