It was billed as a monumental return when Paul Pogba returned to Old Trafford from Juventus. #PogBack trended as the Frenchman signed for a then world-record fee of just short of £90 million.

Pogba recently made a comeback again, this time from injury. He was brought off the bench in United’s shock defeat at then bottom of the table Watford. Then the following game the United number 6 came on at half time against Newcastle.

The two substitute appearances added to Pogba’s tally of five appearances for the Red Devils this season recording no goals and two assists in that time.

Another injury has surfaced after he was an unused substitute in United’s trip to Burnley. Now he is scheduled to be out for six weeks with a need for an ankle operation.

Reports have surfaced that the relationship between the midfielder and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are breaking point with both the player and club hoping for a move.

The writing seems to be on the wall with recent criticism being shovelled on the club by Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola.

The comments were triggered but United’s unwillingness to speak with Real Madrid regarding a potential transfer for Pogba at the end of 2019. Madrid will be the favourites to sign Pogba with certain players from the Spanish giants being used as a way to boost the deal.

Juventus are also apparently interested in the midfielder.
