Simon Shaw, acclaimed Chef Patron and Creative Director of El Gato Negro & Canto, has opened reservations for all four of his restaurants.

Fans of the acclaimed restaurants, located in Manchester, Leeds, and Liverpool, can book online now for El Gato Negro and Canto to secure their table from May 17.

Reservations are available for parties of up to six when dining, with tables allocated for 1.5 hours.  Advance booking is advised.

Those missing the restaurants and keen to embrace a little spring sunshine along with their small plates are advised to keep a close eye on developments, with plans for an alfresco offer at select restaurants from April 12 in planning too.

“It’s great news and what we’ve all been waiting for. It’s been a difficult time, there are moments when we’ve definitely been tested, but we were confident we’d come through it and I’m really pleased that we have.  Our focus now is on getting back to doing what we do best and welcoming guests back to El Gato Negro and Canto.  If last August is anything to go by, I’m hopeful for a good recovery; demand for reservations was strong.  If we can just order a repeat of last year’s weather too that will be the icing on the cake.”

El Gato Negro and Canto will reopen from May 17 with a full menu in place and normal hours of service.

It’s the second time this year that Shaw and the team at El Gato Negro and Canto have had cause to celebrate with both restaurants recognised in the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland, 2021.  El Gato Negro, King St, Manchester, was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand for the fifth year running, with sister restaurant Canto awarded a Michelin Plate.

El Gato Negro & Canto is a partnership between Simon Shaw and Mills Hill Developments Ltd.
