Selina NQ1 Manchester is providing the perfect base to explore all things sober this month with its Low & No Festival on Saturday 25th January in Cotton Club.
Whether you are doing Dry January, looking to change your lifestyle or simply looking for a way to still enjoy nights out when you are the designated driver, this is an event not to be missed.
Teaming up with key brands including Big Drop Beers, STRYYK, Crave, London Essence, Nonsuch Shrubs, Booch and Brew Kombucha, Steep Soda and Bristol Syrup Company, Selina NQ1 Manchester’s Low & No Festival will be serving a range of hand-crafted IPA, ales, stout, lager, wine, sparkling wine, kombucha, herbal tonics and cordial – all at 0.0% – 0.5% which will be available to sample throughout the day.
With a packed day time schedule, the full event line up includes:
- 12:00: Clean set from acclaimed DJ Paulette.
- 14:00: Panel talk covering sober self-care, setting up sober spaces and events and sobriety in the hospitality and performer industries, with leading industry figures including The Sober Experiment, Bee Sober Manchester, Nathan Larkin from Selina Manchester’s own Double Down cocktail bar and Speak in Code, DJ Paulette and poet Helen Darby in Cotton.
- 15:00: Zero alcohol cocktail demo from Double Down’s Nathan Larkin
- 16:00: A surprise performance.
Keen to support those who feel excluded by lack of options when it comes to socialising through sobriety, Selina Manchester is proud to support the low and no alcohol lifestyle in all three of its outlets; restaurant Wilson’s Social, Cotton Club and Double Down cocktail bar as spaces to still party and enjoy entertainment, culture and art without alcohol.
Complementing the property’s existing wellness and inclusivity drive, Cotton Club will be holding a programme of sober events throughout 2020 including meditation, gong baths, ecstatic dance and sober circles, and Selina NQ1 Manchester’s cocktail bar Double Down will continue to serve its extensive no low and no alcohol cocktail and fermented soda range alongside its full cocktail menu.
