Throughout October, the restaurant chain is giving away complimentary treats to help the UK celebrate ten ‘modern milestones’.

In a 2021 Pinterest report, a breakout theme was ‘altbashes’ – a huge rise in people celebrating alternative life events. In response, ASK Italian has researched key moments in people’s lives that are deserving of celebration amongst a more modern generation and is giving away free celebratory gifts.
These ‘modern milestones’ include ‘deleting dating apps’ – as marriage rates fall and searches around ‘dating burnout’ in the UK are up 100% in the last year alone. Additionally, discourse around leaving a toxic job is increasing. Brits are searching for ways to leave – 67% more compared to September 2021 – and those that manage to do so are wanting to celebrate, with a 58% positive sentiment to advice around the subject.
ASK Italian has drawn inspiration from smaller, sometimes overlooked, milestones too. According to Amazon data from September 2021 to September 2022, demand for houseplants is up 23% and the number Googling the term ‘plant parent’ has shot up by nearly 200%.
