A new state-of-the-art flexible workspace, operated by Regus, is opening on King Street, in the heart of Wigan, as the demand for hybrid working rapidly accelerates.

Unprecedented demand from companies and workers looking for hybrid working solutions means IWG is aiming to add 1,000 new locations over the next year. The King Street location will be the first Regus location in Wigan. Hybrid working offers companies a significantly lower cost base with an average saving of £8,000 per employee.

The new Regus location, opening in February 2023, will include private offices, state-of-the-art meeting rooms, co-working and creative spaces.

Situated in Westward House on King Street, this site is part of a new drive by IWG to meet the sharply rising demand for top class flexible working space in the area and follows other North West openings in Altrincham, Chester and Warrington.

The building is less than 100 metres from Wigan Wallgate and Wigan North Western railway stations, and will provide space for established firms and start-ups across a range of industries.

IWG is the world’s leading provider of flexible workspace – with 3,500 locations in 120 countries with members able to access all of the locations and business services via the IWG app. The company is adding a further 1,000 locations over the next year and already counts 83 per cent of Fortune 500 companies among its customer base.

Mark Dixon, CEO & Founder of IWG, commented: “We are establishing a stronger and much-needed footprint in the Greater Manchester region with this latest opening. As an important business hub, Wigan is a fantastic place for us to boost our expansion plans. The need for high-quality flexible workspaces continues to soar as hybrid working becomes the new normal.

“Our opening in Wigan comes at a time when more and more companies are discovering that flexible working boosts employee happiness and satisfaction, while helping the environment. Our workplace model is also proven to increase productivity and allows for a business to scale up or down at significantly reduced costs.”
