Festival of Flavours returns to RHS Garden Bridgewater on 8-10 September, and it promises to be a real feast for the senses!

Relish flavours from around the world with live cookery demonstrations from popular chefs including Andrew Nutter, Ching He Huang MBE, Aiden Byrne, Ben Chaplin and BBC One’s Best Home Cook finalist Sarah Woods.

RHS team members and volunteers will also share their love of growing, cooking (and eating!), creating delicious recipes from Mauritius, Kenya and India, using ingredients picked fresh from the garden.

Pick up even more inspiring ideas from the Bridgewater team, as they guide you through their favourite seasonal recipes and take you on a tour of our Kitchen Garden and Community Grow Garden, and discover how to grow your own tasty ingredients with an exciting programme of talks covering everything from beekeeping to transforming ginnels into glorious gardens.

Fancy a tipple? You can sample delicious drinks from The Salford Rum Co or Seven Bro7hers and Four Si4ters craft beer and gin at local producer’s drinks tastings on Friday and Saturday. Round off your visit by browsing the mini makers market, offering a tasty array of locally produced goodies.

Plant lovers should definitely head to the garden on 19 – 20 August, for a weekend dedicated to cacti and succulents.

Held in partnership with the British Cactus and Succulent Society, this special event is packed full of activities suitable for the whole family, with opportunities to purchase some unusual plants from some of the UK’s best nurseries. Try your hand at pot painting, chat with knowledgeable growers, and listen to talks on how best to care for your prickly plants once you get them home.

Both events are free with garden admission. Book garden tickets here

Travel to the RHS Bridgewater car-free and save 30% on garden admission. Until 1 October a daily shuttle bus service connects Manchester Piccadilly, Salford Crescent and Walkden rail stations to the garden. For more info visit: rhs.org.uk/gardens/bridgewater/plan-your-visit#getting-here
