Following the success of its inaugural winter trail running weekend in February, Summit Moor has announced the return of its immersive trail running weekend. Reaffirming its mission to bring runners together in the heart of the Pennines for a unique blend of adventure, community, wellness, and this time, a race with a twist (optional)!

Hosted in the stunning Colne Valley near Huddersfield, the retreat-like format offers a carefully curated weekend combining guided trail runs, runner specific yoga, movie night and delicious run-fuelled food.

The weekend offers two nights’ accommodation in a stunning location hidden in the moors at a dedicated retreat centre. Each room boasts beautiful views of the surrounding trails and hills with private and shared rooms available. The itinerary is designed to be inclusive, catering to a range of abilities while maintaining the adventurous spirit that defines trail running. With the guided long trail runs spanning from 10km-30km depending on abilities.

Summit Moor, based in West Yorkshire, was founded on the belief that trail running is not only a sport but a way to explore landscapes, build community and discover personal limits. Founder Nigel Hockin (Salomon Runner and qualified UESCA coach) aims to open up the trail running world to a wider audience and wants to make the trails accessible to everyone.

Speaking about the upcoming trail running weekend, he emphasises the importance of community response in shaping the experience:

“The energy and feedback from our first trail running weekend was incredible. It was great to share our local trails with like-minded people, and we can’t wait to do it all again. This next weekend is about building on this and offering even more opportunities to explore, connect and be part of something special in the heart of the Yorkshire hills.”

With growing interest in trail running and outdoor experiences, the Summit Moor Trail Weekend positions itself as more than just a running weekend, it is a fully immersive escape into nature, connect with fellow runners in a beautiful part of the world.

Prices start from: £267 per person for the full weekend (including accomodation in a shared room, food, all itinerary sessions and goodies!) private rooms also available.
