Two for Joy, Manchester’s favourite ethical fashion brand, has launched two new limited edition slogan t-shirts for summer. As well as being bang on trend for SS18, £10 from the sale of every Hope or Together t-shirt will go directly to support The Christie NHS Foundation Trust’s pioneering cancer treatment and research.

Made from 100% certified organic cotton, the relaxed-fit t-shirts are cool and comfortable for the summer months. The campaign hopes to raise £7,000 for the cause.

Sarah Jerath, founder of Two for Joy wanted to support The Christie’s world renowned cancer treatment centre in Withington, Manchester, as it’s a cause very close to her own heart:

Sarah said: “Having lost my mum to breast cancer at 18, and my Dad and other people close to me having suffered from cancer, I really wanted to do something for The Christie as the work it does is incredibly important to me and so many others. Donating money from the sales of the two slogan t-shirts is a simple way to support this worthy cause that helps so many people in Greater Manchester and the UK.

“So many people are directly affected by cancer, it’s crucial that they carry on doing such an amazing job. Two for Joy has always given back to causes that resonate with ourselves and our customers – it’s so important to support your community.”

Two for Joy was launched in 2016 as an alternative choice to fast, throwaway fashion. The brand’s clothing is sourced responsibly and ethically, fairly priced and is designed to transcend the seasons.

Danielle Carney, Corporate Fundraising Manager at The Christie, said: “The Christie is delighted to enter into this exciting new partnership with Two for Joy. The bespoke t-shirts look fantastic and we can’t wait to see the product for sale online! We’d like to thank Two for Joy for supporting our charity in this way and choosing to donate £10 of the proceeds of each product sold to The Christie. It is generous and impactful gestures such as this that allow us to continue to provide patients with projects, equipment and improvements that are over and above what the NHS funds.”

Sarah added: “I am absolutely delighted that we are able to raise funds for The Christie with our new slogan t-shirts.  They truly represent the spirit of the people of Manchester, which is just what we wanted to capture.”
