Sixes is running the contest with a prize of £10k between July 25th until September 3rd to celebrate the start of The Hundred

The world’s first immersive cricketing experience has launched an exciting and inclusive sporting competition to celebrate the start of The Hundred that will see teams face off to rack up the most runs nationwide – in a nail-biting £10,000 competition.

Sixes, the UK-based social cricket venue where budding batters can show off their skills in the nets while enjoying delicious cocktails, beers and signature filthy burgers, is running the contest between July 25th until September 3rd.

The competition will see teams of between four and nine face 100 balls to score as many runs as possible, as part of a brand new The Hundred game mode, which has been launched across all four Sixes venues to celebrate the start of this year’s cricketing competition.

Competitors will get the rare chance to experience the thrill of facing a professional cricketer, standing at the opposite end of the crease to simulated versions of The Hundred’s iconic bowlers including Mady Villiers, Lauren Bell, Sophie Ecclestone, Adil Rashid, Moeen Ali and Saqib Mahmood.

The eight top-scoring teams across the country will win a cool £500, a Sixes Burger Bat, and be invited to a grand final on Sunday 11th September at Sixes’ newest London venue, White City, where teams will battle out in a knockout format with one team walking away with £5,000 – plus a trophy to recognise their accomplishment.

The competition is running at all five of Sixes’ venues, in Fitzrovia, Fulham, White City (coming in August), Birmingham and Manchester. Contestants can enter as many teams/times as they want, while teams can be of made up of entrants of any age and gender.

Calum Mackinnon, Co-Founder at Sixes said, “If you think you’re the second coming of Brian Lara, or the next Joe Root, then get your best cricketing mates together and come down to Sixes this summer to prove your credentials once and for all – as part of our epic Hundred competition.

We can’t wait to see the teams of cricket lovers stepping up to the crease and hitting for glory, with one talented group of amateurs walking away with an impressive £5,000 grand prize – and a shiny trophy on top.

So come on down to one of our five locations nationwide and show us what you’ve got. If you do that well, then who knows, maybe you’ll be playing in the real Hundred competition next year!”

The Hundred is a 100 ball men’s and women’s cricket competition which launched in 2021.

The revolutionary, action-packed format, featuring world-class men’s and women’s players from around the world, has helped reintroduce cricket and showcase its biggest stars to a new audience.

Sixes Social Cricket is the world’s first immersive cricket experience which brings together filthy burgers and high quality-cocktails, plus the essence of English cricket to create something truly unique. There are venues located in White City(coming in August), Fulham, Fitzrovia, Manchester and Birmingham.

Thanks to Sixes’ state-of-the-art technology, the level of challenge can be scaled up or down to suit the batter at the crease, making it as much fun for anyone to play!
