Ping Pan-Asian, a contemporary pan-Asian delicatessen by Masterchef champion Ping Coombes and global Malaysian brand PappaRich has opened in Selfridges Manchester Trafford store. Inspired by an original taste of Malaysian-Chinese cuisine, the delicatessen is situated in the Foodhall on the Upper Floor.

Ping Coombes comments: “I’m delighted to be collaborating with Selfridges Manchester Trafford Centre on my new Ping Pan-Asian delicatessen. We’ve worked closely together to perfect the menu and they really share my passion and enthusiasm for fresh ingredients and delicious flavours. I’m excited to be open and welcome guests to enjoy our fresh and incredibly tasty food.”

Hannah Bass, Selfridges Director of Restaurants comments: “It has been a real pleasure to work with Ping on this project and we’re thrilled to be launching Ping Pan-Asian exclusively in Selfridges. Her passion and expertise in Pan-Asian cuisine have led to a fantastic contemporary offer. I am sure visitors to both our London and Manchester Trafford stores will enjoy discovering the new eatery and delicatessen offer.”

Ping’s first solo dining project, Ping Pan-Asian, reflects the balance and harmony of the different cultures in South-East Asia that have combined to give the distinctive, unique taste of pan-Asian cuisine.

Ping Pan-Asian is an exclusive brand by PappaRich for Selfridges. PappaRich is a Malaysian born global brand, synonymous with authentic pan-Asian signature dishes and sharing a taste of modern Malaysian street food with diners across the world.  Ping Pan-Asian is PapaRich’s first UK launch, and they have now simultaneously opened in Selfridges Manchester Trafford Centre and Selfridges London Oxford Street.

Ping’s Pan-Asian Delicatessen counter, located in Selfridges’ Foodhall on the Upper Floor offers delicious, freshly prepared options. Guests can drop by to purchase delicious Pan-Asian delights such as duck spring rolls, freshly made chicken satay and Dim Sum including prawn and chive dumplings, beef siu mai and king prawn spring rolls ready to pick up for lunch or dinner.

Ping Pan-Asian’s launch at Selfridges is Ping’s first solo restaurant since winning BBC One’s Masterchef. Following the win, she worked around the world as a Global Malaysia Kitchen Ambassador, published her first cookbook ‘Malaysia’ with Orion, made numerous television appearances and consulted for various restaurant projects.
