A woman in her 80’s has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Royton this morning.
The pedestrian had crossed the first half of the carriage way, but when she attempted to cross the second half of the carriageway, was hit by a Seat Leon driving northbound along Oldham Road in Royton towards the junction with Sparrow Street.
The driver remained at scene and assisted officers with enquiries. No arrests have been made.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
