What services does George Campbell offer?

Orthodontic treatment has developed significantly over the years, and it no longer has the reputation of being about wearing unsightly metal in your mouth. In modern orthodontics there are many different types of braces you can choose from that are smaller, less visible, more comfortable to wear, and highly efficient in straightening your teeth. With a lot of expertise in this area Dr Campbell can talk you through the options and help you find the right style of braces to suit your lifestyle. The range of treatments available to you include:

Lingual braces

Lingual braces are fixed to the back of your teeth, meaning they are visually more subtle than other braces and there is less risk of decalcification.

Self-ligating braces

Self-ligating braces have brackets with a sliding mechanism that helps the archwire move in response to your teeth shifting. This means they work with considerably less friction, and you won’t require elastic bands like traditional braces.

Invisible braces

The Invisalign treatment plan consists of clear plastic aligners to move your teeth into the right position. They’re removable and pretty much invisible to people around you, making them a very popular choice with many adults.

Fixed metal braces

Fixed metal braces use metal brackets, archwires, and elastic bands (ligatures) to straighten your teeth. Despite them being the traditional style of brace, advancements in orthodontic technology means the brackets are now significantly smaller, less chunky, and easier to wear.

Ceramic braces

Ceramic braces share similarities with normal braces, but the main difference is the brackets are made from a ceramic material and are designed to be the same colour as your teeth, so they are less noticeable. Also, they are stronger and smoother than traditional braces.
