On the 21st September the Urban Art Extravaganza ‘Mancunian Spray’ will return to the City. It will involve 50 street artists, some from Manchester others from further afield, coming together to raise funds for the Mayor’s Homelessness Charity.

During the event, the artists will transform and completely recreate a car park off Chappletown Road into a vibrant work of art. ‘Mancunian Spray’ creates a family-friendly environment and anybody is welcome.

John Macaulay, who helped create the event and founder of Art Battle Manchester, said: “We love giving artists a platform to showcase their remarkable talents and connecting them with the wider community.”

It’s a real buzz when we still see people taking pictures of the artwork from last year. We’re confident this year’s murals will be even better. It’s a testimony to the generosity of the artists that they are helping to raise money for the city’s homeless.”

After a successful event last year the event is back and promising to be bigger and better. At the free to attend art event there will also be food and drinks on offer as well as music. The music will be provided by DJ’s selected by Parklife founder Sacha Lord.

‘Mancunian Spray’ will commence at 11:00 and finish at 18:00 featuring artists such as Sphere, Qubeck, Kelzo and many more.
