Two men have been arrested after a man was left in a critical condition with stab wounds this morning
The 35 year old was found with stab wounds following an altercation on Foliage Crescent in Brinnington.
A man aged 26 and a woman aged 31 have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and remain in custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Kat Lester from GMP’s Stockport District said: “This is a shocking incident that has left a man fighting for his life in hospital, and is undoubtedly extremely concerning for the community.
“We will continue to investigate what we believe to be an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public, officers remain at the scene and will continue to carry out enquiries.
“While we have made two arrests, this is still very much an ongoing investigation, and I want to encourage anyone with any information, or CCTV or DashCam footage of the incident, to please get in touch with police.”
