The family of an Oldham man who died following a collision on the M6 in Cheshire have paid tribute to him.

Daniel Hill died on Tuesday 3 March, following a collision involving a white Renault van and a crane truck on the M6 between junction 16 and junction 17.

The 34-year-old was a passenger in the van and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Danny was a hardworking family man whose partner and six children were the centre of his world, and everything he did was for them.

“An avid rugby and football supporter, he proudly played rugby for his town team and had a great love of music. Danny was known for his sense of humour and his ability to make people laugh, often entertaining friends and family with his impressions of comedians like Lee Evans.

“He was a well-liked and memorable character — a devoted partner and father, and a beloved son and brother. His loss has left his family heartbroken, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.”
