Iconic Canadian restaurant brand, Tim Hortons®, has announced that due to popular demand it will open its first restaurant in Manchester city centre, taking the total number of sites in the region, to five.

The desire amongst local fans for its famed coffee, delicious donuts and signature Timbits® has driven the brand to open a high street venue ‘within arm’s reach’ of all those living and visiting the heart of the city.

Located at Manchester Arndale, the brand will create another 50 jobs for the local community, on top of the 200 it has already generated since its inception in the city four years ago. Offering a combination of full-time and part-time roles, the restaurant will offer impressive progression and training opportunities to all successful applicants. The announcement also forms part of the brand’s plan to create over 2,000 jobs across the country by the end of the year.

The restaurant will seat up to 100 guests, offering a comfortable spot for those looking for a rest whilst shopping, or to catch up with friends. The venue will also provide a takeaway service for those on the go and delivery options will be made available to those in the local area following the launch.

Well-known already by many in Manchester, customers can expect Canada’s favourite coffee, freshly baked donuts and Timbits®, as well as delicious breakfast, lunch and evening meal options, including hot sandwiches and wraps. Offering a wide menu throughout the day, the restaurant will also cater for those observing an halal or vegetarian diet.

Renowned for its impressive opening giveaways, locals and avid fans in Manchester are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled and follow the Tim Hortons Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages for more news.

Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer of Tim Hortons franchise in the U.K commented; “We have searched for the perfect city centre location to support our four existing restaurants in Greater Manchester for a long time now and finally have a location we’re incredibly excited about.

Manchester was one of the first cities to take us under its wing when we moved across the pond and the fans in the community have fast become some of our biggest advocates. It’s a vibrant city, full of foodies and so we’re pleased to be making our affordable prices and wide menu choices accessible to even more people in the heart of the city.”

He continues, “We are proud to be recruiting over 50 full and part time roles and we welcome all those passionate about a career in hospitality. We will be accepting applications from today via our website and look forward to connecting with our friends in Manchester.”
