Following a sold-out event in 2022, The Lowry Hotel, has announced the return of its bottomless Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea celebrations – with UNLIMITED tea-time delights and live entertainment all day.
Taking place in the hotel’s opulent, Grand Ballroom, the one-of-a-kind celebration offers unlimited scones, finger sandwiches, savoury & sweat treats and English breakfast tea – with a special menu for the kids.
Whether you prefer sweet or savoury, the unlimited offering boasts a selection of delicious treats for everyone, including mum.
The savoury menu features a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches including fresh Gravadlax salmon with zesty lemon cream cheese and chives, roasted beef served with onion chutney and horseradish, mushroom duxelles tartlets with chervil mayo, and a hummus and roasted Mediterranean vegetable wrap.
Freshly baked scones, both fruit and plain, will be served with strawberry conserve and Cornish clotted cream – the staple of any traditional afternoon tea.
The sweet treats will also include lemon tart topped with Italian meringue, strawberry gateaux, Malteser cheesecake served with Bailey’s crème chantilly, and pistachio financier grue nougatine paired with sour cherry mousse.
Kids can enjoy ham, cheese, tuna and egg sandwiches which will be on the menu, followed by double chocolate brownies, jam doughnuts, strawberry marshmallow skewers served with chocolate dipping sauce and homemade candy floss.
Live music from local artists, Jack Buckley Duo, will provide upbeat acoustics throughout the day – the perfect chilled-out Sunday soundtrack for a special day with loved ones.
Bottomless Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea at The Lowry Hotel is priced at £39.95pp for adults and £15pp for children, with sittings available between 12:00 – 16:00 on Sunday 27th March (2-hour bookings per table).
