The Light Cinema Stockport has announced they plan to reopen on Monday 17th May 2021 and are looking forward to welcoming guests back in line with government guidance.

After a challenging year, The Light are excited to be able to reopen their doors again and to get back to offering their guests a fantastic big screen experience whilst maintaining the same high levels of safety.

In addition to this, and in line with new Test and Trace rules set by the government, The
Light will also be gathering the contact details of all guests over the age of 16.

Opening with the likes of Godzilla Vs Kong, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, the BAFTA and Oscar award-winning Sound of Metal and Nomadland, plus a very special 40th anniversary showing of Raiders of the Lost Ark, just to name a few. Guests can also look forward to A Quiet Place Part II, Black Widow, Fast & Furious 9, The Suicide Squad, and No Time to Die, all gracing their screens later this year.

James Morris, CEO commented: “We can’t wait to reopen and get back to offering the ultimate big screen experience in a safe and welcoming environment.

A huge thank you to all our guests and team for their patience and support over the past year, we know you’ve all been so eager to return, and we can’t wait to finally welcome you back.”

On top of the stellar film slate, the venue will also get back to offering a range of handmade pizzas, burgers and desserts as well as all the usual cinema favourites.

Further updates will be available through The Light’s websites.
