Local community hub, The Britannia in Farnworth has opened its doors after an extensive refurbishment on 8th May 2023. The re-vamped pub will also be holding an entertainment packed launch party on 13th May to welcome old and new customers alike!
The neighbourhood favourite has been refreshed throughout after a sizeable investment has given the pub a new lease of life, now part of the award-winning Craft Union company. There are many new features to the pub, including a dual bar, with cosy seating where you can enjoy a refreshing drink with friends and family.
As well as an enhanced interior, The Britannia boasts an incredible beer garden which has had a complete overhaul – perfect for those warm summer afternoons watching the world go by. On top of this, customers can expect a re-worked function room and a new dance floor area for those let-your-hair-down weekends!
New operator, Stacey Finney, has been in the pub business since she was just 15, involved with her family’s work in hospitality. Stacey has run several pubs herself over the years and is a big supporter of the local community, having previously raised funds for the Wigan and Leigh Hospice. She is dedicated to continuing this service at the Britannia and has interacted with the local community already to discuss raising funds for MNDA.
Stacey Finney, new operate at The Britannia said: “I feel honoured to have taken on the role of the new operator at the Britannia. I am excited to be bringing a newly refurbished pub to Farnworth with lots to offer for the local community. I really hope the customers are going to come on my new journey with me, and with my knowledge and experience make this a success and the best place to be.”
There will also be a whole new sport offering at the pub, with BT sports and Sky sports now available throughout the pub on their HD screens. If you prefer to play rather than watch, you can now get competitive with friends with the newly installed darts board!
The entertainment doesn’t stop there! Across the week, there will now be a whole host of afternoon and evening activities to enjoy, including team darts games, bingo & quiz, karaoke, DJs, live sport, and much more, so you won’t be short of things to get involved in!
