High-level fitness and elite sports performance company, The Athlete Factory has opened the doors to its new class and PT based concept, AF Urban, inside The Annex Building at 15 Quay Street, Manchester.
The Athlete Factory concept is the brainchild of former professional international rugby player and international performance coach, Phil Greening, along with other elite coaches. Leading the market in both athletic based personal fitness and sports performance solutions, The Athlete Factory has over 100 years of combined team experience in the elite sports and sports facility industry.
Classes at AF Urban will be delivered by highly qualified strength and conditioning coaches, who have worked with top athletes and teams.
With three key core concepts of Train, Build and Learn, The Athlete Factory team can cater from gym beginners to professional athletes and teams.
Classes will run from 06:30 to 18:45 Monday – Friday, with an extended, supplemental weekend schedule.

AF Urban presents members with custom, industry-leading equipment that cannot be found or accessed anywhere else in the UK.

The AF Urban team comprises Phil Greening, Founder of The Athlete Factory and Former England and British Lions rugby player who is also current International Performance Coach for USA Rugby.
Paul Reed is Performance Director at AF Urban with over 25 years experience in delivering high-class people performance in sport, business and life. Paul is a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, Qualified Personal Trainer, ISSN Certified Sports Nutrition Specialist, Performance Nutrition Expert and has a Nutrition Diploma.
The team also includes Stefan Gill, Lead Coach at AF Urban, Ex Professional and England international basketball player, current Head of Sports Performance at The Manchester Giants Professional Basketball Club and semi-professional boxer. Stefan brings 20 years active experience providing wellness and exercise, covering all aspects of Strength, Fitness and Nutrition, incorporating it into a sustainable lifestyle.
AF Urban will offer classes, courses and membership options. Packages include 10 or 20 sessions per month as well as an introduction offer plus an unlimited classes per month offer. Programmes are supported by access to nutrition expertise, meal plans, supplements and kit. Supplements are provided by Applied Nutrition and apparel by Manchester Headquarter and Andy Murray backed sportswear giant, Castore.
