Families are guaranteed a fun-packed summer this August as Merseyway in Stockport announces an exciting programme of free, family-friendly activities.
Starting on the 30th July 2022, the Summer Saturday’s programme will bring something new and exciting into Stockport town centre each weekend, guaranteeing family fun, whatever the weather.

Merseyway Pride – Saturday 30th July 2022
Get ready for Stockport Pride with Merseyway! Children can take part in a Pride wand craft session and enjoy festive glitter makeovers in the undercover mall.
It’s a Pirate’s Life for Me! – Saturday 6th August 2022
Transform into a pirate on Saturday 6th August as Captain Sea Dog docks her ship at Merseyway. Children of all ages will be able to decorate their own pirate hats at exclusive craft sessions and take part in a treasure hunt with their own scroll maps around the town centre.
Circus Celebrations – Saturday 13th August 2022
Life’s a circus at Merseyway on Saturday 13th August as the centre will be taken over by circus acts and performers! From jugglers to acrobats, visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of shows whilst taking part in circus-themed workshops.
Comic Fan Fest with WOW! Comix – Saturday 20th August 2022
Be a ‘menace’ at Merseyway’s Comic Fan Fest! In collaboration with comic and merchandise store, WOW! Comix, this free convention will be filled with comic themed craft sessions, trader stalls and meet and greets with Beano Comics top writers and artists!
Don’t forget to bring your cameras as Dennis and Gnasher will be unleashed for meet and greet appearances at intervals throughout the day.
Once Upon a Time… – Saturday 27th August 2022
Don’t miss Merseyway’s Fairy Godmother on Saturday 27th August 2022 as she hosts fun, fairytale-themed craft sessions in the centre. Families will also be invited to find hidden mythical creatures and characters to complete a fairytale story to win prizes.
