Stockport MP Ann Coffey is one of seven Labour MP’s who have announced this morning that they are breaking away from the party.
Former shadow cabinet ministers Chuka Umunna and Chris Leslie will resign the whip, alongside Ann Coffey, Angela Smith, Mike Gapes, Luciana Berger and Gavin Shuker.
They will be known as the Indepence Group.
