Manchester’s dining scene is about to welcome an exciting new arrival as Sticks’n’Sushi opens its doors in Spinningfields on 30th March, bringing the distinctive Danish-Japanese group to the city for the first time.

Blending sleek Scandinavian design with the precision and craftsmanship of Japanese cuisine, the internationally acclaimed restaurant group will introduce Manchester diners to its signature combination of sushi, grilled sticks and beautifully balanced sharing menus, all delivered with the spirit of ‘Omotenashi’ – the Japanese philosophy of wholehearted hospitality.

Expect much-loved classics to share including Beef Tataki with miso aioli, artichoke chips and shiitake & truffle ponzo and Kani Korokke, crab croquettes with wasabi Caesar; the Hell’s Kitchen maki roll topped with tuna; from the grill expect buttery Miso-Marinated Black Cod sticks; and Chicken Meatballs with Teriyaki. The generous sharing set menus including As Good As It Gets, Set For Success and Greenkeeper offer a vibrant mix of starters, build-your-own Temaki Setto handrolls and grilled sticks. The drinks menu will feature sake, Japanese teas, contemporary cocktails such as the Hibiscus Margarita and Matcha & Yuzu Spritz, alongside premium spirits, beer, and the brand’s own-label yuzu pale ale.

Occupying a prominent two-storey corner position, the restaurant has been designed by award-winning Berlin architects, Diener & Diener. Inside, interiors balance Japanese architectural precision with Scandinavian warmth, using glass and timber detailing to create a light-filled space that moves effortlessly from day to night. An expansive pergola terrace and bar bring all-day dining and drinking to one of Manchester’s busiest neighbourhoods.

Sticks’n’Sushi Manchester is set to become a go-to for everything from quick lunches and post-work dinners to long, sociable evenings over sushi, sticks and cocktails.
