Lyceum Theatre Oldham’s 2019-20 Season takes you round the world and this month they’re stopping off in New York for The Prisoner of Second Avenue, one of Neil Simon’s
fantastic comic plays, from 31 January – 8 February.

Perhaps more relevant today than it was when it was written 45 years ago, Mel is having a breakdown. We see him lose his job during economic crisis, deal with noisy neighbours
and a burglary. The unexpected heatwave sends Mel literally into meltdown! It’s a perfect setting for Simon’s acerbic wit and scathing one-liners.

Directed by Lyceum favourite Phil McCarthy, the six-strong cast includes Lyceum regulars and new faces, promising to make this the perfect antidote to your winter blues!
