The first ever Tatton Social (Distance Edition) launched with a bang last Sunday under the Cheshire sunshine.

The family-friendly street food market held a hugely successful launch event in the grounds of Ashley Hall on the Tatton Estate, and has announced a string of new themes, local artisans, charities, and other organisations to feature at its  next event on 2nd August.

The Tatton Estate, which for many years has had a proud role in local food, farming and environment, will be looking to throw its support behind as  many independent retailers, food pop-ups and charities as possible, with the selection of street food operators and market stalls carefully curated to create an artisan experience using suppliers from across the region.

Liz Taylor, event organiser for the Tatton Estate, said: “Wow, what a day!  We are so pleased to see so many people finally being able to get our and enjoy themselves in a totally safe way, including famous faces Cath Tyldesley and Dion Dublin.

“Thank you to everyone who helped us pull it together so quickly and to those who came and gave us great feedback which we have used to make Tatton Social better still (apologies to those who went to Tatton Park in error!).

“We are thrilled to confirm we now plan to run fortnightly through August starting Sunday 2 August showcasing everything homegrown. From local honey,wood-fired pizzas right through to homemade, luxury soaps and vintage clothing– we’ll have an array of delicious pop-ups ready to delight taste buds and excite our shoppers.”

“We’d like to say a big thank you to all of the boutique traders who have been in touch to exhibit their products, and would welcome approaches from everyone who feel that they might fit the bill. It’ll be great to welcome everyone back to the Tatton Estate at one or more of these events.”

The event’s mini hiking trails will be retained and enhanced, allowing guests to stroll through the rolling grounds of Ashley Hall and the Tatton Estate every other Sunday.

The refreshed Tatton Social (Distance Edition) will launch from Sunday 2 August 2020 11am-4pm at Ashley Hall, just south of Hale Village, and will run every Sunday throughout summer.
