American Golf is bringing creepy golf to its Golf Kingdom site in Rossendale in time for the October half term holiday – so the whole family can celebrate the spooky season in the run up to Halloween.

For two weeks only, from 17th to 31st October, American Golf Complex Rossendale – now known as Golf Kingdom – will be transformed into the most Spooktacular setting. It will be open every day from 5.30pm until 8.30pm.

On The Squirrel’s Lair woodland adventure golf course, brave golfers, young and old alike, will be faced with spooky obstacles and chilling challenges throughout the 18-hole escapade.

With ghosts, skeletons and witches to distract every swing, ghoul-loving guests will be entertained from their very first tee to their last putt – making it the most frighteningly fun experience for the whole family to enjoy.

For anyone booking for Saturday 30th October, the eerie experience will be amplified with a live DJ playing a range of Halloween favourites from 5pm.

To mark the seriously spooky occasion, the venue’s Il Corso restaurant will be changing its name to Il Cor’p’so for the entire two-week Halloween event period – providing the ultimate dark side dining experience with dastardly decorations and special seasonal dishes. Even better, those who book a table online will receive 10% off their bill.

For even more frightening fun, visitors who dress up as a ghost, ghoul, goblin – or any other Halloween themed character – could be in with a chance of winning a prize.

Scott Grundy, site manager at Golf Kingdom Rossendale, said, “By day, The Squirrel’s Lair adventure golf course offers an immersive experience and the most stunning views across Lancashire’s rolling hills. But, come evening time during October, there will be a spooktacular change of scenery and atmosphere for our visitors to enjoy.

A whole host of chilling challenges will be set amongst The Squirrel’s Lair, including our popular water feature with rope pull raft over the stream and the life-like carved wooden animal statues, all adding to the Halloween fun and high-jinx.

We can’t wait to welcome those golfers who feel gutsy enough to take on our very seasonal creepy golf spooktacular. And remember there are prizes for the best Halloween costumes, so don’t forget to dress up when you tee off.”
