Sale Sharks are on the move this week as they prepare for the new season. The first team squad fly from Manchester to France this morning to prepare for their first pre-season game against Castres on Saturday.

Joining up with the squad at their training base will be South African scrum half Faf de Klerk who played for the Lions last Saturday in their Super Rugby Final against Crusaders.

Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said, “The lads have been training hard over the past few weeks and they are now ready for some quality game time. Castres are a good side and the game will give the coaches the opportunity to see the lads in action. After the match, we travel back on Sunday and prepare for our second warm up game against Edinburgh a week on Friday.”

The U18’s travel to Limerick where they will play Munster Academy (Wednesday) and then travel to Dublin to play against Leinster Academy (Saturday).
