The National Football Museum is hosting a jam-packed programme of events for families over the summer holidays, featuring an array of exciting, hands-on activities that celebrate football through a mixture of art, play and performance.
Each fortnight across the summer, the museum will be exploring a new theme. From Puzzle to Play, and then Perform, there will be drop-in crafts, volunteer led activities, book clubs, and creative workshops for all ages.

Puzzle: Until Sunday 3 August
Play: Monday 4 August – Sunday 17 August
Perform: Monday 18 August – Sunday 31 August
Visitors can come back all summer long to enjoy the rotating lineup of activities, exhibits and events for free, with season tickets meaning you pay once and can return over and over again for an entire year.
That’s not all though. Throughout the summer holidays, running alongside this is ‘From Pitch to Page’, an immersive look into the magic of football annuals from the 1950’s to present day. Learn how annuals have evolved throughout the decades and explore important
and unforgettable stories that have shaped the game we love today.
Gabrielle Heffernan, Director of Content at the National Football Museum, said: “The summer holidays are a perfect opportunity for families to explore everything the museum has to offer. We’re excited to welcome visitors of all ages to enjoy a fantastic
mix of interactive activities and immersive experiences.”
“Manchester’s weather may be a little unpredictable – even in summer – but our wide range of events ensures a great day out for families, whatever the forecast.”
All activities and exhibitions are included with general admission tickets and will take place across the museum.
