Real ale fans are being offered the chance to name a new beer from Strange Times Brewing Co. After the initial deadline of 21st October 2022, Strange Times will produce a shortlist of the five most popular names and let the people have the final say.
The author of the winning moniker will receive a case of 24 Strange Times canned beers, and all five shortlisted entrants will get a special invite (with a +1) to the brewery’s exclusive tasting event on Sunday 6th November.
Strange Times Brewing Co. based in Salford, Greater Manchester, was born of chaos in the embers of 2021. Founder Alex Lord and Head Brewer Lauren Guy have 25 years of brewery experience between them and have built up a loyal following of craft beer fans through their distribution network of pubs across Greater Manchester and beyond.
Lauren Guy, Head Brewer said: “We are delighted to run this competition, have a bit of fun with our loyal customers and welcome new followers to our brand. It is a small but sincere way to say thank you for supporting us through Covid and inviting them to be part of our creative journey and celebrate with us as we begin a new phase of canning and national distribution.”
Strange Times Brewing Co is planning to take its beers to a national audience and will soon launch a crowdfunding campaign which will help them invest in a canning machine. This has been their vision from the start and the reason they have invested a huge amount of work into the creative side of the business to ensure their products will stand out on the shelf.
The brand design and artwork has been designed by artist Mina Mond and is inspired by tarot cards, the meanings of which tie into the stories of each of the brewery’s five core beers, using mystically inspired creativity in both its imagery and recipes. There will be new speciality recipes launched throughout the year.
