Rosso Restaurant, Manchester’s celebrity-backed Italian, is holding its own amongst the recent influx of sparkly new restaurants in the surrounding King Street neighbourhood, including Gordon Ramsay’s Lucky Cat.

They have just introduced a new à la carte menu, available now, using only the finest produce from both the UK and Italy, skillfully integrating new flavours and techniques.

An impressive array of starters showcase Rosso’s unwavering passion for Italian Gastronomy, including classic antipasti such as Spuma Di Mortadella – whipped mortadella with blueberries, salted pistachio crumble and toasted focaccia.

Executive Chef Sam Fazackerley says, “We take inspiration and ideas from the traditional Italian kitchen, using it as a frame of reference for how we move forward. This à la carte menu reflects just that, our mission to move forward; our gratitude for the team we’ve built, for the guests’ continued appreciation and gratitude to wake up and do what we love every day. We hope you love it as much as we do.”

Guests can indulge in a variety of main courses including the Petto D’Anatra, pan-roasted breast of salt-aged duck with cherry, cherry confit duck leg and foie gras agnolotti, brioche bread crumbs finished with a sour cherry wine sauce. Not to be missed, the Agnolotti Con Punte Di Manzo Affumicate, is an agnolotti of smoked beef short rib in a roasted tomato gravy.

Vegetarian and vegan diners are catered for with increased options such as the Funghi Brasati Con Pesto Di Pistacchio, a smoked and braised wild mushroom ragù with pistachio pesto, pickled cauliflower and celeriac galette. Rosso is also proud to partner with REDEFINE MEAT, a premium plant-based culinary substitute, for the first time with this menu.

Stonebaked pizzas are all made to order, topped with the freshest ingredients, ranging from classics including Margherita and Cacio E Pepe, to Rosso specials including the Bianca Con Salmone, a cream cheese base topped with smoked salmon, watercress, chives, lemon zest and a poppy seed and sesame seed topping.

Rosso’s signature fish selection boasts a range of freshly prepared options including Branzino Alle Erbe, the sea bass prepared with lemon zest and mixed herb rub roasted over oak charcoal, served with grilled baby carrots and fennel.

From the grill, there’s a selection of meat available including rib eye steak, dry-aged prime beef fillet and sirloin, skin-on chicken fillet, vegan Redefine steak and lamb cutlets; all prepared and served with chestnut mushrooms sautéed with onions, grilled tomato and hand cut chips. Salads, sides and the bruschetta menu have all been refreshed and updated for summer.

The À La Carte menu is NOW available at Rosso Restaurant.

Bookings can be made online or by calling the restaurant on 0161 832 1400.
