Want to combine the glamour of the Amalfi Coast with the edgy back streets of Naples whilst still being able to travel via metrolink?

Then you’re going to want to head over to the Corn Exchange to try Riva Blu’s revived summer offering. Expect classic dishes with a modern Mediterranean influence, a laid-back atmosphere with a pinch of theatrical flair, and the sweetness of ‘la dolce vita’ with some added zest.

Using only the finest and freshest ingredients, Riva’s impressive summer menu boasts twenty new dishes, including exclusive ‘Biga’ dough pizzas, made in-house by Master Baker Davide Argentino. This super light dough will be sliced, Italian style, at the table with scissors and served with Salsetta a Limone and Salsetta N’Duja dips.

Capturing a true taste of Italy, other menu items include staples like Linguine Vongole, Tuna Tartare, and Gamberi Rossi. The vibrance of Naples’ street food is represented by the likes of Mozzarella, Ham and Pea Frittatina, Arancini, and Poplette di Melanzane.

Guests will be sensorially transported to Southern Italy through citrus scents, bright colours, branded sunglasses, lemon trees, lemon sorbet ice cream, and music to mimic Radio Capri. And when the weather is good, Riva Blu’s terrace is the perfect place to experience the summer season.

The summer menu has been paired with a new, organic wine list for the season. And if that wasn’t enough, Riva Blu will also be offering an exclusive Limoncello Spritz using their very own limoncello made exclusively with lemons from the Amalfi Coast. This zesty liquor even features in their new tiramisu offering and the refreshing limoncello tiramisu will be made at the table right in front of guests.

The art of aperitivo will arrive at Riva Blu Manchester in June. Served until 7:30pm, light nibbles will be offered with all aperitivo drinks, including a selection of Italian wines, Campari cocktails and beer. After all, Italian dining is all about ‘la dolce vita!’

Giuseppe Vitale, GM for Manchester, said: “I love working in Riva Blu because it captures everything about the Amalfi coast. Coming from ‘Sicily’ (my hometown is Palermo), I love everything about seafood, and Riva allows me to enjoy everything I love about my hometown but in the UK.

“We are super excited to unveil Riva’s new offering this summer. Diners can expect a vibrant, lively atmosphere, with Italian passionate staff and bold geometric outfits that pair perfectly with our bright exclusive cocktails!”

What’s Guiseppe’s favourite dish from the new menu? “My favourite is the king prawn bruschetta as starter and lobster linguini as main or seafood linguine, it takes me back home every time I eat it. I am so excited to show off our true Southern Italian delight in Manchester.”

Bringing the Mediterranean to Manchester, Riva Blu is situated in the Corn Exchange, and features an open kitchen, a cocktail bar and a large alfresco terrace so you can dine all’aperto, or ‘in the open air’. Formerly Gino D’Acampo’s My Restaurant, Riva Blu opened in 2022 and is brought to you by Individual Restaurants – the group behind Piccolino’s.
