Barnabus is calling on people to sponsor a month of its ‘Manchester is Ours’ calendar, which showcases photographs taken by the city’s vibrant communities, including members of its homeless population.

The 12 images that appear in ‘Manchester is Ours’ will be selected by a judging panel that includes local design agency LOVE., who will help to produce the calendar for 2021. People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to enter their photographs.

2021 will be a special year for Barnabus, as the charity marks its 30th anniversary as a frontline organisation bringing hope and transformation to rough sleepers and people experiencing homelessness.

Yvonne Hope, Barnabus chief executive, said her team are looking forward to seeing images from the community that celebrate Manchester’s diversity and explore every facet of the city.

“We want people to show us their Manchester, that’s why we’re calling the calendar #ManchesterIsOurs. So, they could send in a photo of a place, or a person, or an occasion – anything that shows a personal connection with our fantastic city.

“Adding the owner’s words to the image will create a wonderful tribute to this place we all call home. It’s a place where creativity runs deep, and every individual has a unique story to tell. It’s a special way to mark our 30th year and we can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.

“We’re thankful to LOVE. and our corporate sponsors for gifting their support to create a unique calendar celebrating Manchester.”

Barnabus has a few spaces left for corporate sponsorships and are looking for businesses to support the charity by sponsoring one month in the calendar for £125, in return for their company logo to feature.
