The legal requirement to isolate after a positive coronavirus test will end in England on Thursday, Boris Johnson has told the Commons under his plan for “living with Covid”

Announcing in the House of Commons that all legal restrictions will be lifted from this Friday, The Prime Minister said that free universal testing will end in England on April 1 and twice weekly testing in educational establishments will end this week

The law to self-isolate if positive will end athough stay at home advice remains and contacts will no longer need to test for seven days as well as an rnd to routine contact tracing/ SI payments/ and the need to inform employers

From March 24 statutory sick pay and employment support allowance will go back to pre-pandemic levels.

“While the pandemic is not over, we know have now passed the peak of the omicron wave… Those who would wait for a total end to this war before lifting remaining regulations would be restricting the liberties of British people for a long time to come”. Boris Johnson said

The opposition leader Kier Starmer said This wasn’t a plan for living with Covid. It was a plan for ignoring it.” while asking what the scientific advice for ending legal requirement to self isolate if you test positive?
