Reform have said that they will not be investigating posts made on social media by their candidate in the Ashton in Makerfield by election

Rob Kenyon deleted an old Twitter account when he was announced at a candidate earlier this week

It was revealed that he had posted about Asian men ‘assaulting white people en masse’ and ‘an invasion of foreign criminals’.

Kenyon also said the far right doesn’t exist and demanded King Charles open up his palaces to house asylum seekers, after the monarch called for unity during the Southport riots.

Yesterday the organisation Hope not hate revealed that a second also deleted account had seen him make creepy comments about women, using crude language and calling for violence, and that he  promoted baseless conspiracy theories during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The Reform candidate also explained that he had been blocked from the Sky Sports Rugby League Twitter page because he “said something about womens [sic] rugby”, suggested Labour are “the party for trannys”, and wrote, “What does his dick taste like,” in response to a man commenting on a rugby player’s “guns”.

A spokesperson for the party said they “fully back” Robert Kenyon and added that the “comments were made before he was in politics”.
