This Summer, The Village Screen are throwing it back to the 80’s and 90’s with some retro cinematic screenings and are transforming Manchester’s Grade II listed water palace Victoria Baths into a memorable regression session
The grandeur of Manchester Victoria baths will provide the stunning backdrop for enjoying two unique screenings of classic films at their best.
The Gala Pool with its period detailing and ornate tiles makes a perfect setting for creating memories with friends and loved ones this Summer.
Reminisce over the awkwardness of growing up with quintessential 80’s high school drama The Breakfast Club on Friday 9th August, which sees five very different high school kids connect when they’re placed in detention lock down.
Saturday 10th August hosts 90’s Spielberg dinosaur smash Jurassic Park, this adventure classic sees the park erupt into chaos as dinosaurs break free and begin to destroy the park.
Audience members will be able to enjoy the big screen whilst settled down with popcorn and sweets in old school, candy striped deckchairs inside the pool, or on wooden balcony seating above.
Ahead of each screening attendees have the opportunity to boogie on down with our DJ who will be providing the perfect soundtrack!
There will also be delicious street food on offer from some of the North’s best street food traders, as well as a fully stocked bar offering craft ales, themed cocktails and fizz, as well as a selection of hot & soft drinks.
