Plans have been revealed for a new vision for Salford’s retail park in Ordsall
The scheme offers five acres of public open space, a mix of high-quality homes, new walking and cycling routes, family-friendly spaces, and a new community hub
Most of the current shops in the retail park would be demolished apart from the Sainsbury superstore
In their place, the developers Henly Investments promise Regent Park will lead the way in modern urban living and create a new community that Salford can be proud of.
The scheme will overall deliver 3200 homes with a mix of apartments for affordable homes,first time buyers and downsizers
There will be a thriving village square close to Ordsall Lane and Community hub and Salford’s first urban park in a generation which promises to match Manchester’s Mayfield in terms of ambition
People and not cars will be the focus of the site with underground car parking for residents
Residents will have a chance to comment on the proposals at community drop-in evening from 3pm until 8pm at Salford Lads Club (M5 3SA) on Friday 6 October 2023.
